Fire blue/green/red opal is formed over thousands of years, from running ground water through underground caves. The incredible aesthetic of opals is obtained through silica deposits in hardened rock of many different varieties.
Faux opal is synthesized in a lab under similar conditions. The main difference is that our opal inlays will last forever. They are not subject to change due to UV exposure, nor will they wear over time. This wedding band is outfitted with a centered Fire opal inlay, two strips of Ironwood, in a hardened black ceramic core.
