Buckeye burl is one of the most difficult to work, and rare species of timber in the world. Just like Van Gogh's Starry Night, the timber's characteristic stars (stems) are speckled throughout the deep blue enhanced sky (figure) tone throughout. Although it is one of the most difficult timbers we work with, the end result is always worth it. We paired this Buckeye Burl with some semi-matte black Tungsten Carbide.
As each wearer is unique, so is each piece of timber. Your ring will be unique to you. All rings with timber at Thorum are sealed in a vacuum, and finished with pressurized marine (boat) epoxy.
